Today's Line - Big Game Saturday

Well folks Memphis was able to win but not cover last night so my parlay is still alive but I feel sorry for any Memphis backers as South Florida scored a late TD to lose by 7.

As promised I've slimmed down my plays from 30 (last Saturday) to 10; way more than half! I've put more juice on each play however.

Minnesota (+4) at Northwestern: It appears that Northwestern isn't getting much respect only favored by 4 after beating Stanford and Duke and then a couple of cupcakes recently. While the Gophers have struggled on offense and have had a couple of close wins. Both of these teams play good defense so the low total is expected. Good running teams getting points on games with low totals have been money. I think this game comes down to a field goal; one that Northwestern could easily lose.

West Virginia at Oklahoma (-6.5): The Sooners showed a lot of heart coming back against the Vols. While I'm not impressed with Mountaineers who have loaded up on cupcakes. Oklahoma can't afford to look ahead to Texas and should come out focused for this one.


Louisville (+4) at NC State: Here is another example of a team (NC State) who loaded up on cupcakes and then is expected to play a team that has played some challenging games. I know the Cardinals are 1-3 but those 3 loses are good ones. They got Clemson out of their minds and can still make some noise in the ACC, the Cards play good defense which keeps you in games on the road plus they are getting points.

Alabama (ML) at Georgia: No reason to pay the juice on 1.5 points. Here we have a classic case of buying on bad news and selling on good news. Bama lost to Mississippi two weeks ago and looked sluggish against UL Monroe last week. Georgia on the other hand has rolled to a 4-0 record while crushing South Carolina and beating Vandy. This is a slam dunk right? Georgia extracts some revenge by running all over Bama's suspect D, right? No excuses for Georgia this time, right?

Look, this is a do or die situation for Bama; a proud football team that expects to be in Atlanta every year. They will come out focused and ready to play. Georgia I fear my let the game get bigger then it should and come out tight. I like Bama here to win and save their season.

Ohio St at Indiana OVER (66.5): The only way Indiana has a chance to win this game is to score and score often, which they can. We have yet to see Ohio St flex their muscles, they will be forced to today. I see this one being a shootout.

Kansas St (+7.5) at Oklahoma St.: The Wildcats are a good football team every year, and the public always underestimates them. Oky St got lucky with Texas and should not be favored by this much. I'll take the hook every time.

Notre Dame at Clemson (-1.5): This is a big one folks and the best game on Saturday in my opinion. The Irish come in banged up but confident while the Tigers have had two weeks to prepare. Hard to say who wants this game more but the Tigers at home with that fast defense will have the edge in the fourth when the game will be won.
