Today's Line - Fight Night!

A nice 4-0 sweep but got super lucky as I mistakenly bet full games and had two of them com through in walk-off fashion. As you can see by my CapperTek picks I meant to play 1st 5's. Better to be lucky than good I always say.

Tonight is Fight Night...technically tomorrow afternoon but as you know I take Sundays off so @drjayh has his picks below.

I'm going a little conservative today since I'm sure regression and variance is right around the corner.

UFC Fight Night 113

UFC Fight Night 113 takes place in Glasgow, Scotland. I was a little disappointed that this fight night wasn't in Ireland because at least they have the Blarney Stone to kiss for luck. I don't know what I have to kiss to be lucky in Scotland with these tough matches this week, but I'll do my best to give you some winners.

The main event has Conor MeGregor's stable mate Gunner Nelson versus Argentinean Santiago Ponzinibbio. I'm going to say this one time because it applies to most all the fights. They are between grapplers and strikers. If the match stays on the feet, the striker should win. If the match goes to the ground, the grappler has the edge. Santiago is the better striker. Nelson is the better grappler. The fights all start on the feet, but in this case, I think it will go to the ground, at least in the second round.

Pick: Gunner Nelson by submission in the second round

Joanne Calderwood versus Cynthia Calvillo

Calderwood is the striker. Calvillo is the grappler.

Pick: Joanne Calderwood by decision

Stevie Ray versus Paul Felder

Ray is the hometown boy. If he can keep Felder from catching him, he should win.

Pick: Stevie Ray by decision

Jack Marshman versus Ryan Janes

Pick: Jack Marshman by strikes early second round

Khalil Rountree versus Paul Craig

Pick: Khalil Rountree by decision (Total 1.5 from Pinnacle)

James Mulheron versus Justin Willis

Pick: James Mulheron (+160 from Pinnacleby decision (Total 1.5 from Pinnacle)
