Some Justification:
The Trailblazers (-3.5) are a funny team to figure out. They have one of the more dynamic back courts in the league and their front court is lead by one of the more underrated centers in the league. Granted Nurkic is listed as questionable tonight so he may get a little run. Regardless if Nurkic plays or not the Magic are in bad shape as we saw the other night where the Clippers had their way with them. Portland is better than the Clippers...a lot better. This is my favorite play of the night...great now I just mushed it.
The Pacers (-4.5) are coming off a gut wrenching loss to the Thunder and now they welcome Detroit who finally got a win by beating up probably the worst team in the league the Atlanta Hawks (which I'm backing tonight). So Pistons win right? Well...they are coming in with no rest and the Pacers have got to wanting to get back on their home floor to wipe the memory of getting beat by PG13 and OKC. My model say Pacers and I say take them as they are shooting and scoring at a much better clip than the Pistons.
The aforementioned Clippers travel to DC to take on the Wizards and according to my data these teams love to go under (209) on 1 day rest. Not to mention the Clippers are 15th in scoring and the Wiz are 14th. The total opened at 211 and has been pounded down ever since.
The Celtics (-5.5) welcome one of the more underrated teams in the league the Utah Jazz. I love the Jazz I've backed them many times but this is fookin Celtics at full strength at home. This is my second favorite play of the night...dam did I mush that one too?
As I said above I'm backing the Hawks (+6) even though they are terrible. I know I shouldn't bet on shitty teams but Memphis just might be worse. Atlanta is shooting and scoring at a much higher rate than the Grizzles and this game is the lowest total on the board (198) so points will be at a premium. I'm loving the 6 and the under.
The nightcap brings us must see TV when the Rockets (-8) welcome the Spurs. They meet for the first time since the Spurs sent Houston home from the playoffs. The Rockets are playing with a ton of confidence and haven't lost since CP3 has been in the lineup. I know Leonard is back and Pop is the greatest coach in the game but you gotta love the short number at home for a team that looks totally different from a year ago.
